Non-Fulfilment by the Artiste
1.If there is non-fulfilment of the terms of this contract by the Artiste then, unless that non-fulfilment is due to illness (covered by a valid medical certificate) and a suitable replacement is found, a non-fulfilment fee equal to 100% of the artiste's fee on that occasion must be paid by the artiste to the management.
Non-Fulfilment by the Management
1.If there is non-fulfilment of the terms of this contract by the Management regarding cancellation, this cancellation should be put in writing within 60 days and a cancellation fee equal to 75% of the artiste's fee on that occasion must be paid by the management
to the artiste.
Copyright
1.Advice to hirers / artiste's of sound reproduction equipment. In the event that equipment is used for the performance of any copyright material, it is necessary for the hirer / artiste to hold an appropriate licence. ( Section 26 of the Copyright Design Patents Act 1998)
Responsibility:
1.All hired equipment is the responsibility of the Hirer, from the time of collection/delivery to the time of return.
2.Any damage to, or loss/theft of equipment must be paid for in full, and sufficient insurance is strongly recommended. For insurance purposes, current equipment costs are available upon request from the office.
3.All hired equipment must be returned in good condition. The replacement of plugs and sockets, untangling and coiling, repairs to damaged items are all chargeable! Failed lamps must be returned for inspection otherwise they will be charged for.
4.It is the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure that the equipment is suitable for its intended use. Appropriate advice is freely available upon request, please ask.
5.Equipment must not in any circumstances be sub-hired, or lent without specific permission of "Talk of the Town Management".
6.All hires must be returned by 12 noon on the specified return date.
Safety:
1.Hirers are specifically advised to use electrical equipment in conjunction with a residual current circuit device (RCCD).
2.All equipment must be installed and used by a competent person.
3.It is the Hirer's responsibility to ensure that all relevant Rules, Regulations and Statutory Controls are complied with.
4."Talk of the Town Management" cannot be held responsible for any personal injury or damage to property, however caused.
Payments:
1.All hire charges, VAT and deposits are payable in advance.
2.A minimum deposit of £50 is required, and is held against complete and undamaged return of equipment and accessories.
